- Check-in. On the “absurdity” of this work
- Discussion of Student Senate letter and follow-up
- Student Senate Co-President and International Representative for Student Senate attended the PCDEI meeting to follow up with the Council. The Student Senate would like more detail regarding additional policies and procedures from administrators on what they are working on, and they request on-going updates to show forward motion with DEI work at Gustavus.
- The best form of communication is in written form which will allow for archived materials and events to be provided to future students at Gustavus.
- They request to know information about what administrators are doing not efforts done by students.
- They request that we develop a better strategy to provide the student body an on-going communication plan to better inform students and employees
- Update: Indigenous Relations work on campus
- An assigned committee will make recommendations to the President and Cabinet
- Indigenous work will run parallel to PCDEI and not part of our efforts
- Brief updates from Working Groups
- Inclusive Excellence and Engagement – they are collecting data, but have discovered that the data does not include the specific detail needed. They are trying to utilize the data that they have and will work to create a plan.
- Training and Development – comprehensive employee DEI learning plan to launch in early 2020
- Communication – they are working to create a plan to move forward
- Work in Working Groups- 3:26pm split into Working Groups at three locations

Jean Noren, Administrative Assistant in the Office of the President, created Google Groups, provided Google Drive access, and invited Working Groups to various meetings throughout the year.
